MISSION & VISION

Our History:
Lenawee Youth Lacrosse is celebrating its 25th season in the spring of 2025. The organization began when the Marble family introduced lacrosse to Tecumseh MI area, in late 2000. At the time, Tecumseh Youth Lacrosse (TYL) was one of the few Lacrosse Programs in South East Michigan. Initially, the youth program consisted of a small group of 5th to 8th graders. However, over the years the program expanded, attracting players from various local schools and changing its name from Tecumseh Youth Lacrosse to what is now known as Lenawee Youth Lacrosse (LYL).
Today, the organization has three teams (U10, U12, and U14) and is one of the Co-Founders of the Southeastern Youth Lacrosse Conference (SEYLC), which it competes within. Over the years the program has grown significantly. Of which, many former players have gone on to play at high school and college levels, with some returning to coach. The community’s support has been vital in sustaining the program, fostering lasting friendships and a love for the sport.

Our Vision:
To be the leading organization in building character, fostering growth, and inspiring success through the sport of lacrosse, all while empowering individuals to become their best selves both on and off the field.

Our Mission:
We are dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive environment where athletes can develop their character, skills, and passion for lacrosse. Through our unwavering commitment to excellence, we aim to instill values such as integrity, teamwork, and perseverance, enabling our players to thrive not only in the sport but also in their personal lives. By providing top-notch coaching, mentorship, and opportunities for growth, we aspire to inspire a generation of confident and successful individuals who will make a positive impact in their communities and beyond. Together, we will build a legacy of champions, both in the game of lacrosse and in life.
