Hey there future Lacrosse superstars!
I know some of you may have never played Lacrosse before, and that's totally okay! It doesn't matter if you're brand new to the game or if you've been playing for years. What's important is that you have the willingness to learn and the determination to work hard.
Just remember, every skill takes time to develop. So don't be discouraged if you don't get it right away. Every good player had to start brand new somewhere, and every brand new player has to start sometime. Why not now!

Yes, like many other sports, Lacrosss is a Contact Sport. However, at this level/league it’s not like what you may see on TV. But don't be scared of the contact part, because with the right gear and proper training, you'll be able to safely play the game and have a blast doing it. Plus, tackling and bumping into your opponents can be a lot of fun (just remember to be safe and play fair)!

Yes and no, there are many very good entry level gear sets that are bundled from some of the large in-store/online vendors (ex. Dicks Sportng Goods), which come with all the gear you’ll need for the entire season.
Also, one of the benfits with signing up with LYL we can offer a Loaner Gear Set many of our early year(s) players. All of this at no additonal cost to the player/family!

Yes, we encourage it!
Of course girls can totally play lacrosse too! It's a super fun and exciting sport that anyone can enjoy, no matter their gender. So if you're interested in giving it a try, don't hesitate to join a team or, even ask your friends to play with you.
Don't let anyone tell you that girls can't play sports like lacrosse, because that's just not true. You have the strength, skills, and determination to succeed in anything you try, so go out there and show everyone what you're made of! -
Are you ready to explore new places and see amazing things? I know sometimes traveling can seem a bit tiring, but guess what? Most of the time, the journey is less than 1.5 hours, and so worth The wait. That's like watching your favorite movie and then arriving at a whole new place to have fun playing the sport you/gonna love!
So pack your bags, grab your favorite snacks, and let's go on a road trip with your friends and have a blast playing Lacrosse!
